What you will be doing

The core purpose of this role is to project manage key workstreams of change within a new programme of work, capitalising on available synergies, identifying change requirements, managing interdependencies across the project workstreams and ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to customer quality expectations through effective project management. 

Your role will be fundamental to delivering workstream objectives within the project, optimising resources and funds to ensure that the Workstream Leader delivers the agreed outcomes. You’ll be expected to manage any dependencies that could impact value realisation ensuring they don’t jeopardise committed business benefits. 

Key to the role will be compliance and risk management ensuring project adherence to TUI’s project delivery framework, architecture standards and operating model. You’ll ensure that the project and business case as scoped and approved according to TUI Group procedures is maintained and that the project is compliant with documented standards, templates and frameworks and captured in agreed toolsets. You’ll ensure that the Workstream Leader(s) document and track the risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits and other related artefacts. You will ensure the relevant and appropriate analysis gets performed, shaped and presented to the relevant governance bodies and steering board as required by the programme governance. You’ll be responsible for highlighting and appraising risks and issues that impact the realisation of the committed business case to the Programme Manager and assist in either resolving them or proposing a mitigation providing recommended decisions.

The Project Manager will build, own, develop and foster business relationships across the Airline with key managers and leaders. You’ll be expected to effectively manage the relationship with your Workstream Lead(s), 3rd party consultants and appropriate levels of engagement and involvement with Trade Union partners. You’ll assist in the execution of an effective stakeholder communication plan across the Airline and the wider business with various stakeholders and interest groups. 

Job Requirements:

What we are looking for

• Strong, practical operational project management experience ideally on medium and large scale projects with a business focus 
• Track record of successful project delivery 
• Preferably Prince 2 or APMP qualified 
• An understanding of IT technology and its pragmatic application 
• A thorough understanding of project management methodologies 
• Able to manage complexity and ambiguity 
• Stakeholder management skills 
• Able to be proactive and manage projects and situations independently 
• Strong conflict management skills 
• Proven decision-making skills – excellent commercial judgement 
• Work may require travel to and from TUI UK and European locations
